Last summer Landon and I worked at a Boy Scout Camp --- I know, super fun right? haha He was a sailing director and spent the entire summer teaching the scouts (and learning many things himself) about how to sail the big boats. That's when we got this CRAZY idea to go rent a 2013, freakin luxury catamaran. Before scout camp, the only sailing experience has has had is on our cute little 12' hobie cat. While Landon had never sailed in the ocean before, the boat charter company assured him that it wouldn't be a problem.

Well, we showed up Saturday morning. The Navtour staff showed him around the boat and sat down to discuss a few tips and things regarding navigation and marinas throughout the Exumas. I was sooo glad there were other guys there ready to help out when needed, because had it been just the two of us I would have been totally petrified at this point. I still got extremely nervous as we pulled out of the marina, knowing that MY HUSBAND is the one responsible for this huge boat and for getting everyone back to Nassau, alive -- haha. But Landon totally stepped up to the job and I am one super proud wife. Yep, I married him.

By the way, that sun was perfectly golden as it cruised behind the palms trees towards the end of a great day. Not to mention that stellar sailboat --- I mean, wow! I was in shock the first time I stepped aboard. I have some pictures of the inside that I will certainly have to add when I find them. It was a 42 foot Lagoon, with 4 cabins -- one for each couple, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, dining area, bbq, and one sweet deck. It even had a netted hammock strung between the two front pontoons -- perfect for catching some rays and a few waves at the same time. What a dream come true. I feel totally spoiled talking about this right now!
